DesignLab: UX Academy Foundations

Online

Enrolled in an 8-week intensive online program with DesignLab's UX Academy Foundations. Engaged in five practice exercises and seven hands-on projects which involved creating both desktop and mobile screens in Figma. This experience focused on foundational knowledge and practical techniques needed to design effective and visually appealing user interfaces.

Attended the course "Foundations of Graphic Design". Studied and created digital work involving the principals of design and visual language, such as color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Additionally, I experimented with manipulating images to convey meaning using various Adobe Suite programs.

This program, which was originally scheduled from January to April, unfortunately had to be cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During my time in the program, I immersed myself in studying traditional art techniques such as drawing, printmaking, and ceramics. Additionally, I had the unique opportunity to adapt to Italian customs and lifestyle through integration with a host family.
